WELCOME TO MY DIGITAL PORTFOLIO.
I'm an interdisciplinary creative obsessed with the written word. My favorite niches are health & wellness and social justice.
EDITOR'S PICKS

I wrote an article published in the Arkansas Times titled “Arming the Left: Rock City Defense aims for a new model of mutual aid.” I felt that it was an important story for my local community in Little Rock, and I gained more valuable field experience researching the article and conducting interviews. It was a pleasure working with the editor and managing editor at the Times, whose talents and insightful questions elevated the story and pushed me to write better.

I decided to launch a Substack account specifically to publish this article, "The Disability Penalty: Utah Man Blinded in Prison". I met Joey, the central character of the story, through my work at ABILITY Magazine, although the article turned out to be a little too politically charged to include in their publication. Political or not, Joey deserved to have his story recorded and shared. It is a harrowing account of his mistreatment within the criminal justice system as a disabled convict. I believe it's essential to share this information to advocate for not only justice reform but disability rights in the United States.

For the third edition of the Arkansas Cannabis Times, I wrote an article titled "Herb & Hustle: Women Changing the Weed Game" that spans six pages of the printed publication (starting on page 19). Whether grower, seller, CEO or brand consultant, each of the women spotlighted by my article have positively impacted the weed industry and established th
